1. General Translation
General translation is the process of converting written text from one language to another while maintaining, as much as possible, the original meaning, style, and tone. This type of translation covers a wide range of subjects, including literature, business, law, and more. A general translator must have a good understanding of both the source and target languages, as well as cultural nuances, to ensure accurate and effective communication across different fields. General translation is characterized by:
1. Varied content : General translation encompasses a wide range of texts, such as articles, novels, essays, letters, speeches, etc. These texts can cover various topics and do not necessarily require technical expertise.
2. Less rigorous terminology : Although accuracy is still important, general translation does not require the same level of rigor in specialized terminology. The translator may have more freedom to interpret the text.
